At Design Outreach, our vision is to see marginalized and low-income communities transformed physically, economically, and spiritually. We achieve this goal by developing innovative and appropriate technologies that improve the lives of those living in poverty.
It is said that 90% of the world’s products are designed for only 10% of the world’s population. We want to turn this statistic upside down by focusing our engineering efforts on the needs of those in developing countries who are often forgotten.

When designing new products, we use the Design Outreach Way of Appropriate Technology Development, which ensures we are tackling the world’s most pressing problems with excellence, skill, and sustainability. As an organization that affirms that all people are made in the image of God and are worthy of love and dignity, we don’t cut corners. We ensure that each of our technologies is developed to be high-quality, long-lasting, and appropriate for the contexts in which they are used.
